With over five decades of experience in the martial arts world, Professor Jacob has earned international recognition as a pioneer, teacher, and leader. His system blends ancient combat principles with modern-day self-defense, character building, and life mastery.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Professor Jacob began his journey in martial arts at a young age. Through relentless training, study, and innovation, he developed Don Jitsu Ryu — a unique and powerful martial arts discipline that emphasizes personal growth, confidence, and respect alongside physical skill. Today, his teachings have impacted hundreds of thousands of students across more than 50 countries.
A true martial arts ambassador, Professor Jacob is not only a 9th-degree Black Belt but also a published author, motivational speaker, and international examiner. As certified Purple Dragon Don Jitsu Ryu Black Belts and official Dojo Operators under the guidance of Professor Don Jacob, they bring a powerful combination of experience, heart, and discipline to every class.
Instructor Erik Larson
Known affectionately by students as a strong yet encouraging mentor, Instructor Erik brings a commanding presence and a deep respect for the tradition of Don Jitsu Ryu. With years of martial arts training, leadership experience, and a commitment to youth development, he specializes in helping students build focus, confidence, and personal discipline—both on and off the mat. His classes are high-energy, motivating, and structured to push students to become their best selves.
Instructor Deborah Larson
With a nurturing spirit and a sharp eye for detail, Instructor Deborah embodies the values of patience, perseverance, and empowerment. Her calm confidence makes her especially effective with children and beginners, while her technical skill and fierce determination earn deep respect from advanced students.
